Standing seam is the definitive architectural roof: long continuous pans, raised seams, and not a visible fixing anywhere. We've specialised in it exclusively since 2008 — every seam on every roof folded and installed by our own teams.
Four seam systems cover every application: double-lock for cyclonic zones and the traditional look, snap-lock and nail-strip for fast precise installs, and batten cap for bold 50 mm shadow lines. All run from 3° pitch to full vertical, curvable to a 1.5 m radius.
Slight waviness ('oil canning') is an inherent visual characteristic of all flat-pan architectural metal, not a defect. We minimise it through panel-width selection, substrate preparation and tension-levelled coil — talk to us about matte finishes and narrower pans for critical elevations.
Double-lock for roofs in cyclonic or high-wind zones and for the classic European look; snap-lock or nail-strip where speed and budget matter (they read identically from the street); batten cap when the design wants heavier shadow lines. We'll recommend against your wind region and pitch.
From 3 degrees to fully vertical. Below 5 degrees we detail seams with sealant inserts and specify double-lock for absolute weather security.
Yes — both. Every panel is roll-formed and folded in our Gold Coast workshop, and installation is carried out by our own trained teams, not subcontracted. One point of responsibility from shop drawing to final flashing, backed by QBCC (1283171) and NSW (276164c) licences.
