Snap-lock delivers the standing seam aesthetic with seams that close by hand — no mechanical seaming pass — over concealed stainless clips. From the street it reads identically to traditional standing seam; on the program it saves days.
The 38 mm seam gives strong shadow lines, and pans install over 18 mm ply (15 mm for cladding) with a ventilated air gap. Our Burleigh Heads Waterfront Estate wears it in UniCote Coastal steel.
Slight waviness ('oil canning') is an inherent visual characteristic of all flat-pan architectural metal, not a defect. We minimise it through panel-width selection, substrate preparation and tension-levelled coil — talk to us about matte finishes and narrower pans for critical elevations.
Snap-lock for speed and value on standard wind zones; double-lock where cyclonic ratings, very low pitch or absolute longevity drive the spec. Visually they're near-identical once installed.
Yes — both. Every panel is roll-formed and folded in our Gold Coast workshop, and installation is carried out by our own trained teams, not subcontracted. One point of responsibility from shop drawing to final flashing, backed by QBCC (1283171) and NSW (276164c) licences.
