Architectural Metals · Gold Coast QLD
Every material we specify has been chosen for a reason — its performance, beauty, and the story it tells as it ages. From bright mill-finish copper to deep verdigris patina, these are metals that reward patience.
Every material has a story
Four materials. Five criteria. One honest comparison — so you can understand the value in what you're selecting before you get into the detail.
Best for inland, low-corrosivity environments. Budget-conscious upfront — plan for replacement, not maintenance.
Explore Steel →50+ yr lifespan. No repainting, no replacement. The premium standard for coastal QLD and NSW.
Explore Aluminium →80+ yr lifespan. Self-healing patina. Zero maintenance — ever. Fit and forget.
Explore Zinc →100+ yr lifespan. C5 marine rated. Gets more beautiful with age. The pinnacle.
Explore Copper →Ratings reflect typical performance in coastal Queensland conditions. All scores are relative to each other — a 2/5 steel is still a quality product in the right environment. Use our advisor to find what's right for your specific location and project.
01 Copper
Copper is among the oldest architectural metals in human history — and for good reason. It begins its life with a warm, burnished gold-orange that draws the eye and commands attention. Then, slowly and inevitably, it begins to change. Oxidation darkens it to rich chestnut, then compounds form in sheltered areas, deepening to turquoise and finally verdigris. Every building becomes a unique record of time, climate, and light.
Euroclad sources all copper from Aurubis — Europe's largest copper recycler — ensuring full material traceability and environmental responsibility. Available in standing seam, flat-lock, and interlocking panel systems.

Copper Finishes — Aurubis & KME TECU
Copper is available in natural mill finish or pre-patinated finishes — ideal for projects where the final patina look is specified from day one, without waiting decades. All pre-patinated copper is still a living metal and will continue to evolve subtly over time.

Pre-patinated finishes achieve in the factory what takes decades naturally. All finishes continue to evolve subtly — they are a starting point, not a fixed colour. Request samples
The only material that gets more beautiful with age.
02 Zinc
Zinc's quiet confidence is its defining quality. Where other metals corrode and fail, zinc evolves — forming a dense zinc carbonate patina that actively protects the metal beneath. Minor scratches re-seal themselves as fresh patina grows. The result is a facade that maintains its integrity decade after decade, requiring no maintenance, no repainting, no intervention.
We specify VMZINC exclusively — the world's leading architectural zinc manufacturer, with five decades of proven performance in coastal and marine environments. Available in three distinct finishes, each with its own personality.

03 Aluminium
Aluminium offers the best strength-to-weight ratio of any cladding metal — meaning dramatic spans, complex curves, and bold architectural gestures that would be impractical in heavier materials. Naturally corrosion-resistant through a self-forming oxide layer, it requires no active surface treatment to maintain its integrity in coastal environments.
Available in two premium finish categories — Lorin anodised and Euramax premium pre-coated (HDP, FEVE and PVDF coating systems) — each engineered for long-term performance in coastal environments. Anodising creates a hard, integral oxide layer that is part of the metal itself. Euramax factory coil coating delivers exceptional colour stability, UV durability and coastal warranties of 15–20 years, extending to 30 years inland.
Lorin Architectural Anodised
Electrochemical anodising creates a hard oxide layer that is part of the metal itself — not a coating. Sourced through Lorin Industries (USA), the world's leading continuous coil anodiser for architectural applications. Cannot peel, flake or be scratched away.
Euramax Premium Pre-Coated Aluminium
Factory coil-coated over a high-build 10µm primer, in four coating technologies: 2-Layer HDP matte fine textures, 3-Layer Matte HDP textured metallics, 2-Layer FEVE fluoropolymer finishes and 3-Layer PVDF Design surfaces. FEVE forms a chemically cross-linked thermoset coating — harder and more scratch-resistant than conventional PVDF, with UV and gloss retention that meets and exceeds AAMA 2605, ambient-cure site touch-ups, and a hydrophilic surface that self-cleans in rain. † C5 rating applies to Euramax Diamond Coastal warranty specification. Standard anodised and powder-coated aluminium rated C4.
Half the weight. No less presence. The architect's material of choice.
04 Steel
Unicote Lux is Australia's premium patterned and textured pre-painted steel — PVDF-coated with surface finishes that replicate metallic patinas, stone textures and refined timber grains. Not a solid colour product. Unicote Lux was designed specifically for architects who want the performance of steel with the visual character of premium finishes.
Built on an AM150 Zinc/Aluminium/Magnesium substrate with multi-layer PVDF coating, Unicote Lux carries up to 25-year warranties and meets AS/NZS2728:2013. Three performance grades cover standard residential through to extreme marine environments.
Unicote Lux — Signature Patterns
